Skittles Vodka Recipe

By: The Drunk University

Skittles Vodka is a great way to make a sweat drink at your next party. It's the perfect drink that all your friends can take shots too instead of just having straight liquor. What makes it great is that it is also easy and cheap to make. One large bag of Skittles and you can have five awesome different tasting drinks!

Ingredients

  • 1 Handle of Vodka
  • 1 lb Bag of Skittles
  • A Flask or Bottle For Each Color Skittle
  • Coffee Filters or Paper Towels
  • Empty Plastic Water Bottles
  • A Measuring Cup
  • A Funnel

Instructions

Step 1: Separate Skittles into Different Flavors

Step 2: Setup Vodka Skittle Water Bottles

Take one empty water bottle for each of the different Skittle flavors that you want to make into Skittle Vodka shots. Fill each of the water bottles with approximately 6 ounces of vodka. Next, pour each Skittle flavor into a different water bottle that is filled with vodka. Simply add each color to a different vodka water bottle.

Step 3: Sha-Sha-Shake It

Start by shaking each water bottle that now should be full of vodka and skittles. You should shake each bottle until the colored candy coating has already rubbed off into the vodka. After shaking the bottles, set the bottles aside for a few hours. Then shake the bottles again to get the Skittles to fully dissolve.

Step 4: Strain White Leftovers

Now strain all the white left over gunk that is left in each water bottle. To get the while leftovers out you can either use paper towels or coffee strainers. If using a coffee filter you will also need a funnel to place the filters over. Keep straining through new coffee strainers until all the white stuff is no longer in the water bottles. Once each color Vodka Skittle mix is thoroughly strained pour the mix into a measuring cup. From there scoop any remaining white gunk out and poor into the flask or bottle you have chosen to use.

Step 5: Chill and Serve

Take each flask or bottle and put them in your freezer. Let the bottles or flasks stay in the freezer for at least a few hours, preferably overnight. Once the mixes have been completely frozen the drink is ready to serve.

This drink makes great:

  • Shots for at your house party
  • Served chilled in a martini glass
  • Mixed with Sprite or 7-Up
  • Mixed with Coke or Diet Coke
  • Mixed with Fruit Juice
